Line Fillers And Concealers,
a Girls Best Friend.
In my last missive, I shared the secrets of my
favourite 3 antiageing creams. Sadly, unless you are only 2 or 3 years old you will already have
some wrinkles going on somewhere on your face. This means that you are going to need to use some
sort of line filler and/or concealer to mask them.
Botox, I can hear you shouting but I am not
ready to have weird stuff injected into my skin yet, so here are a couple of things that really
work and make your wrinkles seem to disappear as if by magic.
My first one is Tri-Aktiline instant deep
wrinkle filler by Good Skin Labs. This works straight out of the tube and helps your
wrinkles fill out, even at the first application.
One of the ingredients, Gatuline® Expression,
is a plant extract that does mimic the effects of Botox but without risks, it assists in the
relaxation of your wrinkles.
The second one, Kombuchka™ PH Extract comes from black tea and helps
to smooth out your wrinkles.
Finally Argireline® works by helping to allow the skin to rebuild
itself. This should be seen as the long term use ingredient. These are carried in a mixture of Shea
butter and avocado oil which are great to hydrate your skin.
It is applied by just dabbing onto the areas
you want to fill, then, after a few minutes, you can apply your foundation over the top of it. This
should also be applied carefully by dabbing as rubbing or smearing can turn your foundation into a
paste, which is not the desired effect.
After you have used the filler, it is time to use the concealer
and for me, there is no better concealer that Yves Saint Laurents Touche
Eclat.
Thats radiant touch in French if you want to
know. This is not just any old concealer, it comes in pen form. a bit like a highlighter and has
the amazing ability to put light into the dark areas of your skin, like the rings around your eyes.
Just what you need after a heavy night.
This is no 'new kid on the block', it has been
around since 1992 and has become the 'must have' item of make up artists, celebrities and every
right minded woman who has ever looked into the mirror first thing in the
morning.
I must admit I used to use other products but
never really got on with them. I found them much too thick and difficult to blend into my skin. I
had avoided this product as I thought it was much too expensive. How wrong I was. It turns out it
works out cheaper as I haven't wasted money by throwing products that didn't work away. The Touche
Eclat pen has banished the dark circles under my eyes, plus all the other skin blemishes that can
ruin your day.
If you only buy one concealer, it has to be
this. C'est la vie!
