But if the injections are given haphazardly or by inexperienced person, then the effect can be seen on other parts of the body. Sometimes the other parts of the face are affected. Botox injections cure but the cure is not permanent. It is temporary and the patients need three to four doses in a year. After that it is said to have amore lasting effect. The effect of the first dose may last for four to six months after which another dose needs to be given. Hence it is important that the doctor contacted should be within reach for the patient for every four to six months.
